Others claim customer support; we actually carry through on the promise of excellence after the sale.

Most technical support questions can be easily answered by email.  Include the type of lightning detection hardware you are using, the operating system, the version of Lightning/2000 (check the About box), and any details that you feel are necessary.

It is possible we might ask for you to send us an image of a particular image on the Lightning/2000 screen.  Click here if you need help in making such an image.

bulletThere was an incorrect entry in the Windows Registry for some users of version 3.5.x of Lightning/2000 that causes the range to storms to be calculated badly.  Click here to download a zip file that contains two Registry files (one for Windows XP or Windows 2000, the other for Windows 98 or Windows ME).  Just unzip the file and double-click on one of the Registry files to fix the problem.
bulletIf you are switching from Windows95/98/Me to Windows 2000 or Windows XP, you will need to install a device driver if you are using the Boltek ISA StormTracker.
bulletIf you start Lightning/2000 and encounter a sudden series of errors, you may have the wrong hardware type selected.  You will need to disable the hardware so you can start Lightning/2000 and select the correct hardware type.  Click here to download a small ZIP file that you can use to temporarily disable the lightning detection hardware.
